Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation – PENS – for pain modulation

PENS Therapy is a minimally invasive neuromodulation treatment designed for targeted pain management through Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation for the treatment of chronic neuropathic and nociceptive pain conditions.

Both components are designed to work together as a single integrated system, ensuring precision, safety and effectiveness throughout the procedure.

System Overview

The AMS PENS system combines the i-STIM generator with the i-PROBE bipolar needle, delivering a precise, interactive and personalized therapy aimed at identifying and treating the pain generator with high accuracy.

i-STIM

Interactive digital generator for PENS therapy

i-PROBE

Mini-invasive bipolar PENS needle with dedicated infusion line and integrated echogenic markers

Both components are designed to work together as a single integrated system, ensuring precision, safety and effectiveness throughout the procedure.

Key Features

  • High precision pain localization — Real-time impedance reading enables accurate identification of the pain generator.
  • Bipolar PENS technology — Percutaneous neurostimulation with bipolar configuration ensures effective treatment and prolonged pain relief.
  • Interactive digital platform — iSTIM features a 7″ touchscreen displaying electrical and physiological parameters in real time during treatment.
  • Advanced safety and control — Continuous monitoring of neuromodulation parameters on two separate channels enhances procedural safety.
  • Data connectivity — USB data streaming allows storage and analysis of treatment parameters.
